Cardi B Taking Career to the Next Level with Las Vegas Residency

Cardi B has only been on the music scene for a short amount of time having released her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018. The American rapper has been in the public eye for longer than that, though, since she began her career as an internet celebrity. Cardi B has proved to be adept at continuously taking her stardom to the next level, and by agreeing to a residency in Las Vegas she is likely to get even bigger. Could this be used as a springboard for the 26-year-old to become one of the world’s biggest music acts?

ITS LIT THIS YEAR IN SIN CITY AT THE PALMS !!!!!!!!

It was confirmed in early January by Variety Magazine that Cardi B would be hitting the Las Vegas strip this year with her own residency at Palms Casino Resort. She recently bragged about it on her Instagram page as well, saying, “Yes, it’s true that Cardi got a residency in Las Vegas.” The rapper also addressed some of the haters who thought it was too early in her career for her to be awarded a Las Vegas residency, and that it was a privilege reserved for legends. In her own words, Cardi B stated that she believed she was ready to take on the challenge.

The residency will take place at Palms’ KAOS nightclub, which is a brand new day and night club opening in the first week of April at Palms Casino Resort. The 26 year-old Be Careful singer joins a hip-hop and EDM-heavy line-up which also features G-Eazy, Above and Beyond, Kaskade, and Shrillex who will all be performing at different times throughout the year. Cardi is due to play five or six shows over the course of the year, so there will plenty of opportunities for her fans to get down and see her in Sin City.

Residency a Good Move for Rapper and Casino

This is most certainly a great move for Cardi, as it will take her career to the next level. Even some of the world’s most established acts haven’t yet been given Las Vegas residencies, with Drake known to be currently eyeing one up at the Wynn Hotel.

It is also a strong move for the casino, which stands to make a lot of money out of having the young star perform at the resort. A large number of visitors are likely to be attracted to staying at the resort purely because of the chance to see Cardi in a more intimate location. They will then arguably go on to spend money on all the other activities which are available at Palms.

One of the main reasons why people visit the Las Vegas resort is to play the wide range of casino games available. One of the most enjoyable games to play live is roulette, the classic wheel-spinning game which has been immortalized in many Hollywood blockbusters set in Sin City such as The Hangover and Leaving Las Vegas. Online offerings such as Betway online roulette are available to players worldwide, while there are also live-streamed games to play because nothing quite beats the rush of playing a real wheel. In addition to the table games, Palms Resort has a concert theatre, which hosts events, and a spa where visitors can get some respite from the intense atmosphere of the casino. The Pearl Theatre plays host to some huge acts, with Alicia Keys and Hozier scheduled to play in April, while Drift Spa and salon has been described as the “pinnacle of pampering” and is an excellent place to wind down.

Could Cardi B Become One of the World’s Biggest Acts?

Cardi B’s path to stardom has been extraordinary, and she is certainly showing signs that she can go on to be one of the world’s biggest music acts. In her short career, the former stripper has broken a few major records already. Her 2017 release, Bodak Yellow, made her the second female rapper to top the US Billboard Hot 100 chart with a solo output. Lauryn Hill was the first in 1998 with her single, Doo Wop (That Thing). Cardi bettered the former Fugees singer, though, and became the first female rapper to have multiple number ones on that chart with I Like It and Girls Like You. The 26-year-old from the Bronx has also won a Grammy Award and three American Music Awards among other accolades. She definitely has the potential to achieve even more.

Cardi B’s Las Vegas residency may have come as quite a shock to some, but it is an indicator that this young star is going places. In a few years, she could be up there with the biggest names in the business.
