James Hersey Set to Release Highly Anticipated ‘’Innerverse’’ Mini-Album – Out April 5Th

Innerverse JH Vinyl Cover

Berlin based artist James Hersey is set to release his exceptional eight-track mini-album ‘Innerverse’ via Glassnote Records on April 5th, 2019. It’s been a long time coming. James released the massively successful Pages EP in 2017, and since then has toured twice around Europe – with Metric in 2018 and Jeremy Loops in 2019. He spent most of his free time otherwise working in the studio.

In James’s own words: After navigating the whirlwinds of Coming Over and Miss You, I felt the need for calmer seas. After all, my biggest dreams had just come true, and I wanted to enjoy that feeling in peace. Above all else, I’ve always been an honest writer. That’s why people love my songs. Instead of forcing myself to create what’s expected, I thought let me just tell it like it is. This is where it all comes from. This is my inner voice. My Innerverse.”

James Hersey’s highly anticipated mini-album ‘Innerverse’ is led by ‘Don’t Need Me’ ft. narou, a showcase of Hersey’s distinctive, infectious guitar-plucked style and unique captivating vocal. Alongside his latest track releases ‘Real For You’ and the mesmerising ‘Let Go’ ft filous, the mini-album also comprises of the emotive ‘Taking You Home’, endearing ‘We Might Fall’, dreamy ‘All Night Pt. 1’, acoustic slow-burner ‘Everywhere You Go’ and ‘These Gifts,’ an uplifting homage to his family roots. Recorded in Spain and Berlin, the immersive mini-album was co-produced and co-written by James and longtime friends and collaborators filous and narou. This will also be James’ first ever release on vinyl.

Hersey’s ‘Innerverse’ is a brilliant body of work that showcases a gifted multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer with an innate ability to capture emotions that strike a chord with everyone. ‘Innerverse’ follows on from James’ upbeat and well-received single ‘My People,’ featuring Jeremy Loops, and Hersey’s successful debut EP ‘Pages’ that rapidly made him into an online sensation with over 400M streams on Spotify alone, and gained support from the likes of Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, as well as Mistajam, Adele Roberts, Cel Spellman, and Maz Tappuni (Communion). Hersey has also received accolades from top tastemaker publications including The Telegraph, Wonderland, The Line Of Best Fit, CLASH, DIY, Idolator, EARMILK, Red Bull, and tmrw Mag. For most, his intimate rooftop performance of ‘Coming Over’ was the launch point of Hersey’s international career, from which dance heavyweights filous, Kygo and Dillion Francisreworked worldwide smash-hits.

James has performed at British Summer Time, Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Firefly, SXSW, The Great Escape, Reeperbahn, Eurosonic, and Frequency, as well as supported Sigrid, LANY, Milky Chance, HONNE, and most recently Metric and Jeremy Loops on their UK and European tours.
