0Lionel Richie Brings Down The House In Atlantic City
Lionel Richie has been dazzling audiences all across the world since he made his debut as a member of the Commodores in 1968. The Commodores made of your favorite hits famous such as, “Machine Gun”, “Brick House”, “Easy”, “Three Times a Lady”, “Still”, and “Sail On.”
Fourteen Years later, Richie would decide to pursue a solo career in 1982 as he released his debut album entitled “Lionel Richie.” A project that contains three hits, including Grammy-winning single “Truly”, and the other two singles are “You Are” and “My Love.” The album would land in the top 3 on the music charts and sold over 4 million units.
Richie over the course of his career would go on to sell over 90 million records worldwide. Landing him the title of one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time. He also won numerous rewards including a Golden Globe award for Best Original Song for “Say You, Say Me” in 1986. The single would also win an Academy Award for Best Original Song. In 2016, Richie would receive the Johnny Mercer Award, the Songwriters Hall of Fame’s highest honor.
The four-time Grammy Winner Lionel Richie was in Atlantic City at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City on Saturday night in front of a sold-out crowd. Performing hits such as, Hello, Zoom, Lady, We are the World, Fire, Missing You, Endless Love, and Dreaming of You. Marvin Chamber of Blue Chip Imaging was on hand covering the event on Saturday, March 23. Richie put on a show that only he could in Atlantic City this past weekend.
