Twista’s New Fire Track “TONITE” Just Dropped

You read that correct. Twista is back with “Tonite,” one of the hottest tracks out right now. Motown-inspired, it brings us back to the 1980s with snippets of the great King of Pop, Michael Jackson. “Tonite” is sharing a new sound, and Twista recently explained why this is different from what we are used to hearing from him. “When a new vibe or a new style comes out, for some strange reason, I will allow myself to get lost for a while.” While we are in love with his fast and upbeat sound, this shows the softer side of the platinum recording artist.

This marks the start of a ground-breaking year for the legendary rapper as his tour “Class of 96” is on the brink of takeoff…the release of “Tonite” couldn’t be better. As fellow rappers Do or Die, Crucial Conflict, Shawnna, and PsychoDrama join Twista on his way back to our hearts and ears, he reflects that “…on one level, it’s all of the homies, on another level, it’s a lot of the artists from the West Side of Chicago. On another level, it’s a lot of artists from my particular era and we don’t usually get together and do a lot of stuff like this. But every time we do, we have a ball and everybody kills it. They all bring a fierce delivery when they do their thing.” As we wait for his tour to start, this release is an exciting reminder that Twista is able to take the new sounds we love and old sounds we cherish, and turn it into a whole new wave we can ride. “Tonite” is a song all generations can enjoy.
