Ben Schwartz On Upcoming Projects, Towel Jackets, New York & Working With Dos Equis

Ben Schwartz is an Emmy Award-winning writer, actor, author and comedian. He’s starred in the television shows House Of Lies and Parks & Recreation, and is currently developing the Showtime series The Wrong Mans, which he will star in and produce alongside executive producers JJ Abrams and James Corden. Schwartz has also notably appeared in the acclaimed films Night School and This Is Where I Leave You, while slated for Paramount’s upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog as the voice of Sonic.

Schwartz’s latest book, Things You Should Already Know about Dating, You F****** Idiot, was co-written with Laura Moses for Hachette Books in 2017 and has been developed for television with Gary Sanchez Productions for CBS. He is currently the voice of Dewey on DuckTales and Leo in Rise Of tTe Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He still performs live comedy regularly, and often tours alongside Silicon Valley star Thomas Middleditch in their two-man improv show Middleditch & Schwartz, which recently played to capacity crowds at New York City’s Carnegie Hall and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Ben Schwartz live via satellite as he sat poolside in Austin, Texas. Currently working with Dos Equis, Schwartz talked about towel jackets and more within our chat. More on Schwartz can be found at www.rejectedjokes.com, while the Schwartz-approved beer industry tastemaker known as Dos Equis keeps an online home at www.dosequis.com.
