Cynister deliver latest single “No Man”
Still riding the waves made by their crushing debut release “Stuck”, LA-based Cynister is back with their second single “No Man”. The powerful track with an empowering message is the second single to be released from the band’s upcoming LP, fronted by LA-based artist Cynnie Jane. “No Man” celebrates independence and liberation, a reclamation of power in a relationship. The song, with its driving pop beats, and stirring Muse-like guitar lines, is a battle cry in a society where women are made to feel like they need a man to depend on. Cynnie, and the two masked figures by her side, certainly think this is a ridiculous and outdated paradigm, as the frontwoman explains of the song: “The idea that we need anybody or anything but ourselves to be happy is such a toxic notion. “No Man” is about the moment you realize that self-sufficiency is something to rejoice in.”
After forming in 2018 the band has become known for their innovative sound, blending hook-laden pop, with the hard-hitting energy of hard-rock. With its timely delivery, “No Man is meant to be blasted at top volume to get you feeling powerful. Take a listen for yourself below.
