Danish Electro Act TAN Evokes Hypnotic Soundscapes In ‘Blossom’

TAN has had a quick rise in the Danish electronic music scene, with their transcending take on dance music. The group works inside a trippy universe, where evocative soundscapes meets hypnotic techno beats, all mixed into a neon-colored club formula.

Accompanied by dancers and drag queens, their live sets seem to continuously expand the forms of their retro-futuristic take on music into new territories, which makes TAN an interesting act to watch.

According to the band: “The song was made traveling around Taiwan. We were actually a little bit bummed out at first. We were supposed to track vocals with this Taiwanese drag dancer for this gothic Tekno idea we had, but he canceled at the very last minute. Suddenly we were in Taiwan and we didn’t have a plan at all 🙂

Luckily we rented a small house in the mountains of Hualien where the idea, that later became this track, was born. It’s a longing and mellow tune, that goes well with the surrounding nature – a scenery that reminds you of Miyazaki anime. We were alone in the mountains putting the song together for a week. We recorded a lot of ambience during the week, especially when we were in the middle of a storm which made it to the track.”
