Emeryld ft. Earthgang – Hope You’re Happy

Dallas-bred, LA-based Songstress Emeryld follows the announcement of her forthcoming, 6-track EP ‘Young’ with her new collaborative single “Hope You’re Happy,” featuring hip-hop duo EarthGang.

“Earthgang and I got connected through some mutual friends and when I heard their verse I was unbelievably stoked,” Emeryld explains working with the rappers. “They fucking snapped and I’m honored to be working with such dope artists and individuals. I’m so excited for this song to be out in the world.”

“Hope You’re Happy” is the Emeryld’s second record off her project following her lead single “Young” with an accompanying visual in April. The song was the product of first linking up with producers/musicians Nascent (Brent Faiyaz, Chance The Rapper, 50 Cent) and Los Hendrix (Brent Faiyaz, Chance The Rapper, Kyle Dion, Lolo Zouai) here in LA. Where they then sent it over to EarthGang to add their ATL touch to the track.

Emeryld’s forthcoming, 6-song EP ‘Young’ (May 24) is described as a colorful journey with an emphasis on independence and coming-of-age, the singer’s inspiration for this project was from life experience telling her story as a 21-year-old woman in the music industry in Los Angeles dealing with condescension, love, doubt, and self-exploration.
