Do nice guys really finish last? Not according to YouTube sensation turned music artist Wengie who is back like we’ve never seen her before with her brand new K-Pop single “Mr. Nice Guy” featuring Pinoy pop superstarIñigo Pascual. The Rihanna-esque summer bop can be described as a fusion between eastern pop styles and western pop styles and of course, full of fun and colorful beats! This song and music video will inspire you to finally ditch the bad boys and go straight for Mr. Nice Guy, the kind that would never leave you hanging.

Pascual is known for being a VJ on the Philippines number one music channel, MYX, and one of the hosts of the online show “One Music POPSSSS.” His big hit “Dahil Sa’Yo” reached #1 on the Billboard Philippines charts for over three months and is also one of the most viewed OPM lyric videos on YouTube with 93 million views currently. In 2017, he released the Tagalog version of “Remember Me,” Disney movie “Coco’s” official theme song.

The music video will release two versions being in English and Taglish, blending English and Tagalog lyrics for an international release. The single release package will consist of five versions being in English, Tagalog, Taglish, instrumental, and a remix by international producer Shawn Wasabi.

Wengie: “In a culture where bad boys get a lot of attention, this song is refreshing about a girl finding her Mr. Nice Guy and not having to worry about being hurt and feeling safe. I loved working with Iñigo and he was perfect for this as I wanted to create something that was really me and one that I know the fans will resonate with and enjoy!”

Iñigo Pascual: “I’m grateful to do this project with Wengie, who is super talented being able to sing in Tagalog as well. It’s very special to me and I’m thankful they chose me to do it.”

In addition to the star-studded leads, the song also has some superstar partners, it is co-written by Michel “Lindgren” Schulz and Melanie Joy Fontana (songwriter for Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, and more) who co-wrote on BTS’s #1 worldwide hit “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey that broke record for most viewed music video in 24 hours plus BigHit’s new group TXT song “Crown”, which also broke the record for most YouTube views in 24 hours for a K-Pop debut.

Among the behind-the-scenes work, the director for the music video is Edrex Clyde Sanchez. The vibrant artwork is created by Amber Park (@apnotamber) and the choreography is helmed by Airon Jazz Rances (@airon_jazz).

Creating a channel back in 2010, Wengie has amassed a loyal YouTube following of over 18 million subscribers across her channels, over 25 million combined followers among all social channels and over 1.4 billion views total on YouTube. Since then, she has released 6 singles & music videos, each of which have seen huge success and will release new music this summer.
