Teyana Taylor Headlines Biggest Show To-Date ft. Mesmerizing Choreography, Provocative Stage Design & More

2019 is set to be an arrival year for Teyana Taylor–the Harlem-born singer, songwriter, dancer, model, actress, and more. The multi-hyphenate returns to New York City this May to present House of Petunia, the spectacular audio-visual experience that she describes as her “dream live performance.” The show will feature a massive, provocative stage design–one of the most elaborate ones that Red Bull Music Festival has seen to-date, mesmerizing choreography featuring 25 world-class dancers selected from the over 500 dancers that auditioned, extravagant costume changes and more. Soundtracked by Taylor’s hits including songs from her 2018 G.O.O.D. Music album K.T.S.E., The show’s production has been led by her all-female production company, The Aunties, in conjunction with the Red Bull Music Festival creative team.

Taylor was a star long before she broke the Internet as the lone dancer in Kanye West’s “Fade” video, as she had already released several auspicious projects, including the Billboard-charting VII (2014). K.T.S.E., her sophomore album, realized the promise of previous records, landing on end-of-the-year album lists from publications like Complex, FACT and Okayplayer, which ranked the album as the best of 2018. A sex-positive R&B album with slices of soul and pop, it proved the perfect vehicle for Taylor’s alternately powerful and sultry vocals.

Red Bull Music Festival New York returns this spring with the critically-acclaimed international music series’ seventh installment in the city. Launching April 29, this year’s festival will feature headline shows with steadfast, perennially innovative Red Bull collaborators, and partner with additional groundbreaking artists to bring their unique, boundary-pushing visions to the stage for stunning performances. Performers include Rosalia, FKA twigs, Tierra Whack, Holly Herndon and more.
