Ascending Rapper Latrell James Returns With Soulful ‘One Call’

Latrell James, the Boston native delivers his second single of 2019, ‘One Call’, a self-written, self- engineered and self-produced ode to brotherhood and loyalty.

Following his debut project ‘Twelve’, Latrell James has become nationally recognized for his sincere sense of artistic character, conceptually honest songwriting and versatile production skills, working with a wide range of well-known talent including Lil Dicky, J.I.D, Cousin Stizz, Khary, Michael Christmas, Pro Era’s Aaron Rose and many more.

Following on from his first release of the year ‘Tracphone’, affectionately dubbed by Afropunk as ‘an intellectual banger’, James continues in the same vein with another single with both an important message and an upbeat and bouncy melody. A strong work ethic, exceptional production skills and a genuine consideration for the growth of the Boston Hip Hop scene has made him one of the most respected artists from the area and James’ original, authentic sound and positive mentality shows early signs of a promising future.

When asked about the meaning being ‘One Call’, Latrell States: ‘One Call is a reminder that mortality is real. We all get caught up in living our own lives that we forget to check in on others. My hope is that when people hear this song, they go check in on their loved ones.
