Flipp Dinero Drops Visuals for “If I Tell You” (Directed by Teyana Taylor)

Rapidly becoming a signature voice in the current musical landscape Flipp Dinero follows his breakout “Leave Me Alone” with another smooth banger “If I Tell You” accompanied by a dope visual directed by Teyana Taylor. Dinero has one of those voices that leaves a lasting impression and his content is fresh and fun…much needed.

Here’s the official line:

Wielding his effortless charm and signature raspy vocals, Flipp Dinero is one of New York’s most promising rising stars. Heading to the roller rink with his boys and his bae, Flipp shares If I Tell You, the artist’s latest video. Directed by Teyana Taylor, the new clip is an effervescent portrayal of young love, inspired in part by the T.I.-starring 2007 film ATL and Shakespeare’s timeless Romeo & Juliet, depicting Brooklyn-native Flipp attempting to win the affections of a young woman from Harlem, whose father doesn’t approve of Flipp’s lifestyle or his neighborhood origins. The Billboard-premiered video is the perfect visual accompaniment to the sweet and confident love song, featuring an uplifting hook from the Cinematic Music Group/We The Best/Epic Records artist and buoyant horns from superstar producer Tay Keith.

Says video director Teyana Taylor: “First off working with Flipp and his team was such a good time, Flipp is extremely talented and has super dope energy. He def made my job an easy one on set! ‘If I Tell You’ is a feel good record that reminded me of summertime in the early 2000s when me and my friends would run around New York and just LIVE. The video was fun to direct because I got to relive moments of our teenage years. I wanted the visual to shed light on living care free, having fun and being a teenager again.”

Says Flipp Dinero: “Working with Ms. Taylor was a blessing. Not only did she have a dope vision, she also had a beautiful energy. ‘If I Tell You’ is a track you express your emotions through. It’s a statement showing that we could love and be loved.”

Released alongside another Tay Keith-produced single, the braggadocious Not Too Many,” “If I Tell You” has grown into a successful summer single, earning prominent placement in Spotify’s Most Necessary, Who We Be, and Signed XOXO playlists. With over 4 million streams to date, “If I Tell You” looks to be a worthy follow-up to the Double Platinum-selling smash Leave Me Alone.

A slow-burning viral hit released in March 2018, “Leave Me Alone” started its rapid ascent when it caught the ear of then-New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who shared a clip of himself dancing to the track. Since then, “Leave Me Alone” grew into one of the biggest hits in America–generating over 500 million streams, including 277 million streams on Spotify and 120 million views on YouTube. The song peaked in the top five of the Hip-Hop/R&B airplay charts and reached the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. Flipp performed the track on national television at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in October and on a January episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Over a year since its release, “Leave Me Alone” still racks up over 500k streams per day on all services.

Says Flipp about “If I Tell You”: “I feel like it’s nothing but a vibe and it’s definitely my second ‘Leave Me Alone,’ because of the impact the new song is having. ‘If I Tell You’ is really taking off and I’m happy that I am making music that the world loves.”
