Goth Outfit Astari Nite Deliver New Single “As If You Were Dead”

The first track from their upcoming EP due out in February of next year, Miami goth maestros Astari Nite are back with an emotive new single “As If You Were Dead”. The single was mastered by Jackknife Sounds owner and Actors frontman Jason Corbett and was released via Danse Macabre Records. Moving and thought-provoking, “As If You Were Dead” communicates the complexity of loss and death, merging the downbeat tempo, and sorrowful lyrics with a dissonant yet soaring melody. The composition is relatively minimalistic, allowing Astari Nite’s distinctive style to shine. Lead singer Mychael’s voice levitates with reverberation, the emotive lyrics taking the spotlight in this track.

Along with the new release, the band delivered an equally moving music video directed by Ileana Escalante & Louis Molden (Blind Beast). The visual counterpart communicates the complexity of the songs subject matter: loss and death, bringing poetic and sorrowful imagery to the song for a stark effect.
