Nicole Kiki Jaffe Delivers Her Debut Single “Stay”

Nicole Kiki Jaffe has been performing for as long as she can remember. Taking the stage for the first time at only 3 years old, the artist was hooked to performance. Drawn to music from then on, Jaffe can remember often singing to her dad in the car: “His favorite was “My Favorite Things” in the style of Johnny Hartman” the singer-songwriter recalls. Now out with her debut single “Stay”, it is safe to say the La-based artist’s raw talent has evolved to a finely tuned craft.

With a stripped down production, “Stay” allows Jaffe’s mesmerizing vocal range and powerful lyrics shine through. Her music writing spurred by an intense break-up, the track oozes with emotion, the infectious melody lifting the song up to anthemic heights. “Stay is not a love song” Jaffe makes sure to point out, explaining that the emotive track is more a meditation on the question: “Can love coexist with trauma and eventually be overcome? This song is my attempt to find out.”

The single is a strong debut for the artist, her distinct folk-rock meets pop sound leaving the listener wanting more. “Stay” is currently available on all major streaming platforms. Check it out for yourself below!
