8 Cocktails To Help Keep This Fourth Of July Fun & Interesting

During the weekend of July 4th, tens of — perhaps even hundreds of — millions of people will be celebrating the birth of the United States Of America. In the spirit of this joyful, celebratory and gathering-friendly holiday, on behalf of The Hype Magazine, I compiled 8 summer-friendly recipes from top spirit brands, including Proper Twelve Whiskey, Seagram’s, Novo Fogo and Corralejo Tequila.

#1: Party Of Five

Ingredients:
– 7.5 oz. of Seagram’s Watermelon Vodka
– 5 oz. of Kronstad Aquavit
– 3.75 oz. of Fresh Lime juice
– 5 oz. of Pineapple juice
– 2.5 oz. of Luxardo Maraschino

Method:
– Build in punch bowl or hollowed out watermelon.
– Top with crushed ice and enjoy! (Note: These are specs for 5 drinks)
– Garnish: Whatever you feel like!

#2: Proper Twelve Punch

Ingredients:
– 1 Bottle of Proper No. Twelve Whiskey
– 1 12 oz. Can of Lemonade
– 1 Cup of Fresh Lemon Juice
– 250 ml Red Wine
– 3 Lemons (Sliced into Wheels for Garnish)

Method:
– In a Large Punch Bowl, Add Proper No. Twelve Whiskey, Lemonade and Fresh Lemon Juice
– Refrigerate overnight
– Add ice and stir
– Top with Red Wine & Lemon Slices for Garnish

#3: It’s Just Peachy, Proper Punch

Ingredients:
– 12 oz. of Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
– 4 oz. Aperol
– 8 oz. Grilled Peach Basil Syrup
– 4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

Method:
– Combine ingredients in bowl or pitcher with ice, fresh basil leaves, lemon wheels, and grilled peach slices.
– Top with a dry Prosecco and a splash of club soda. (Intended to serve 8 to 10 people)

#4: The Super Fly Punch

Ingredients:
– 1.5 oz. of Crystal Head Vodka
– 0.75 oz. of Blue Curaçao
– 2 oz. of Lemonade
– Gummy octopus garnish

Method:
– Combine ingredients in bowl or pitcher with ice.
– Add garnish.

#5: Mint Irish Coffee Pop-tail

Ingredients:
– ¼ oz. of Brancamenta
– ½ oz. of Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey
– ½ oz. of Irish Cream Liqueur
– 1 oz. of Cold Brew Coffee

Method:
– Mix each pop individually in mixing cups.
– Fill popsicle molds (silicone is best).
– Place in freezer for approximately 5 hours.
– Remove from mold and consume immediately or place in freezer bag for later.

#6: Margarita

Ingredients:
– ½ oz. of Corralejo Tequila
– 1 oz. of Limeade
– 1 oz. of Pink Lemonade
– 1 slice of Kiwi Fruit
– ½ oz. of Chopped Strawberries

Method:
– Mix each pop individually in mixing cups.
– Fill popsicle molds (silicone is best).
– Place in freezer for approximately 5 hours.
– Remove from mold and consume immediately or place in freezer bag for later.

#7: Cherry Lemon Caipirinha

Ingredients;
– ½ oz. of Novo Fogo Sparkling Silver Cachaça
– 2 oz. of Lemonade
– Chopped cherries

Method:
– Mix each pop individually in mixing cups.
– Fill popsicle molds (silicone is best).
– Place in freezer for approximately 5 hours.
– Remove from mold and consume immediately or place in freezer bag for later.

#8: Reverse Manhattan

Ingredients:
– ¾ oz. of Antica Formula
– ¼ oz. of Templeton Rye Whiskey
– ½ oz. of Cherry Juice
– 1 oz. of Water
– Chopped Cherries

Method:
– Mix each pop individually in mixing cups.
– Fill popsicle molds (silicone is best).
– Place in freezer for approximately 5 hours.
– Remove from mold and consume immediately or place in freezer bag for later.
