Axel Rudi Pell On His New “XXX Anniversary Live” Album & Upcoming Projects

For three decades, Bochum, Germany-based guitarist Axel Rudi Pell has consistently turned out critically-acclaimed hard rock albums. His most recent release is XXX Anniversary Live, a live document of his most recent tour. Interestingly, XXX Anniversary Live was released via the same record company as Pell’s debut in 1989; in turn, his contract with legendary label SPV/Steamhammer has lasted longer than the average marriage these days. XXX Anniversary Live is also notably Pell’s 30th album release in as many years, as released last month via popular German label SPV/Steamhammer.

Having sold more than 1.6 million records so far, Axel Rudi Pell also has a ridiculous amount of online streams as his songs have been streamed more than 37.5 million times. While still promoting XXX Anniversary Live, Pell is planning to bring out another studio effort in spring 2020. I had the pleasure of speaking with Pell about this more, as embedded video, in June 2019. More on Pell’s past, present and future projects can be found online by visiting his official website: www.axel-rudi-pell.de.
