Exclusive Premiere: Citris Exposes The Toxic Modern Climate With “Hell Is A Place On Earth”

Citris is modernizing the 90’s grunge, Courtney Love, rock vibes of your dreams with their latest single, “Hell is a Place on Earth”.  The Brooklyn based grunge rock band, led by Angelina Torreano, encourages the listener to not only reflect on their personal mistakes, but drives them to make changes in the modern climate and to speak up for what they believe is right.

“Hell is a Place on Earth” presents two paths, learn from your mistakes and move forward, or, continue to neglect what is happening around us and exclude the chance to save ourselves. Citris acknowledges the damaging effects to the public through Angelina’s velvet vocals juxtaposed with spine tingling hard rock instrumentals. The hypnotizing melodies fully encapsulate your mind and drive home the conflicting subconscious feeling of knowing things have to change, but not knowing where to start.

Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Chris Krasnow, “Hell is a Place on Earth”” serves as a nostalgic, yet modernized anthem of progressive change. The single is reminiscent of societal altering ballads of the past. Lyrics of “Don’t look back in anger” trigger the same emotions as Oasis’ generationally defining single of the same name. Angelina’s powerful lyrics and voice not only awake the feeling of activism, they also serve as a safety net making it known that things can change for the better, but not until something is done.

Citris is about to embark on a two-week west coast tour. Dates for Citris’ west coast stay begin August 1st and will conclude on the 10th. “Hell is a Place on Earth” is the premiere single off of the upcoming album Delusions of Glamour. The highly anticipated music video for “Hell is a Place on Earth” can be expected soon.
