Harley is This Summer’s Mood

“It was like we never broke up and we never met all at once.”

West coast at its finest, HARLEY is back. Breaking the make-out-music trend of HARLEY’s first and second release, new single, BABE, I’M A MESS, keeps that windows down and golden hour dream alive yet completely crushed. It has this ‘I care too much with a slow hint that he doesn’t even have to try’ vibe. By the end of the song she wants him back– no question.

“This song is alive and it was a fight. And we got real and we got transparent. To get this song were it is it took a lot of soul searching. The what’s, the why’s and the how’s—especially the how’s—had to be dealt with to get it here.”

This song is about the flirt that never stops flirting. It’s what every guy is thinking when they zone out in any emotional moment. Girls, take notes because it is insight into a boy’s brain. When you say you can’t read someone because there’s a dry spot in the relationship – this is what is happening…

“It was like we never broke up and we never met all at once.”

“I want people to know that– 1. It’s ok to not be ok sometimes. 2. This is what actually goes through boys’ minds during a break up. It went through ours. This is our heart and people should see it because it’s big. Life can really suck. We get that. We’re here for that too.”

The lows feel like the wind pumping through your windows as you’re driving down the 405 on a Saturday in August and the melody sounds like the beach with a bend. BABE, I’M A MESS leaves you just like the name – wrecked – but very much so ready to get wrecked again and again because it’s on repeat.
