Israeli Songstress & Songwriter Amit Releases Her Debut Single “Forward”

Emerging singer and songwriter Amit celebrates the launch of her debut single “Forward” which dropped today across all music platforms. “Forward” is the first of six new songs that the Israeli- born songstress will release over the coming months leading into the release of her debut EP scheduled for this fall. For “Forward”, Amit enlisted the help of breakout DJ/producer DANEON (MAX, Marc Anthony, Will Smith, Bad Bunny) to contribute to the track.

Having already caught the eye of Maxwell at iHeart’s Z100 radio station, Amit performed at the iHeart Dunkin Donuts Lounge series in New York City.

Not many singers can say that they served in the army by the age of 18, and yet, for Amit, this is a part of her musical identity. Born in a small town near Tel Aviv, Israel, Amit began to sing at the age of 6 years old. As a teen, she began writing and performing her own original music before serving in the military, a standard practice for all Israelis.

All of this has helped contribute to her global perspective as a person and an artist. Amit is a part of a new generation of young singers and songwriters fusing together pop, alt R&B with worldly influences.

Inspired by artists like Jorja Smith, Khalid, and Sabrina Claudio, Amit pushes her own musical boundaries and styles. Her debut single, “Forward” highlights soulful vocals with R&B melodies, while other songs, such as “Energy”, feature pop, middle eastern, and Afro beats.

While not many artists from Israel make it on the global stage, Amit is ready to take on the world with her forthcoming EP set to release this fall.

As Amit eloquently states, “Working on my music gives me life, and it’s an outlet for all of my emotions, good and bad. This is my purpose”.
