“’‘From The V (Set It Off)’, is an introduction to my person, my city (Vancouver) and my drive to succeed in this industry. Shaunic and I used to hit the studio on Friday nights from 12AM to 4AM and on the night we recorded this song, we only had 20 minutes left before 4AM. I had the lyrics ready and Shaunic had the beat so I hopped in the booth and laid it down in one take. We played a rough mix back and it was definitely a feeling that I’ll always remember. Prior to ‘From The V’, I have never recorded a song with that much energy before so it was a new but electrifying experience for me.”
