Stam Goody Seeks to Shed Light On The Challenges Facing Inner-City Families In 6-Part Docuseries ‘If Anything Happens…’

Episode Two Explores His Childhood Hometown

Lyricist/Singer-Songwriter Stam Goody released the debut episode of his 6-part docuseries ‘If Anything Happens…’ on July 19. The Camden, New Jersey & Wilmington, DC native follows up with episode 2 that dives even deeper into his family and hometown roots that culminated in his upbringing.

Hoping to change the narrative for other youth boys and girls dealing with similar issues, Stam is exemplifying how they too don’t have to keep everything inside, and instead promoting an environment for open expression and solidifying a healthier foundation in moves towards legacy.

“There’s a direct relationship between the way you deal with trauma inside the home and outside of the home. Calculating that relationship is a lifelong equation that too many of us never find the answers to.”

Executive produced by Stam and his label partners, Saint Louis and James Jackson, of GoodVibesCARTEL and directed by Christian Nolan Jones, Stam hopes the series will serve as a therapeutic precedent and become a gateway to starting conversations with one’s own family.

Stam Goody’s art in many ways is a reflection of the moments that punctuate his life. In 2015, Pigeons & Planes compared Stam Goody to Kayne West. He made good on that introduction by cementing his arrival in 2018 with the critically acclaimed debut single “CLUTCH” and being profiled as a ‘Discovered on Apple Music’ artist by Ebro Darden, with the song amassing over 1.5 million streams to date. The pulsating track and it’s poignant visual would be selected as Vimeo “Staff Pick of the Week, and then go on to win the 2018 LA Film Festival ‘Audience Award for Best Music Video.’ Following that up with his debut EP ‘Defining Moments,’ which would go onto accumulating over 2.5 million streams. On the release of his latest single “Better Blues,” TIDAL featured him as their Rising Hip-Hop Artist of the Week. With Apple Music also adding the single to its prominent playlists such as BARS and Street Politics.
