Who Is Fly Wizzy?

Pittsburgh’s Fly Wizzy is a rising hip hop recording artist and songwriter. His debut single entitled IMA DOG caused quite the ripple in the industry and is about the streets and how Fly Wizzy is chasing money and motivated to make it out the streets. This was his debut single under Casanova Records and his newest single on the imprint “Not Today” which just dropped August 1st, is about not taking any negative energy from anyone!

The official line on the new joint is that “…this is wavy music so just ride the wave, remain focused, and motivated, and do what ever you gotta do to succeed in life! And if the haters are throwing shade! Brush it off and tell them haters “Not Today” No no!”

The Hype Magazine decided it’s time we introduce Fly Wizzy and let you know more about this up and comer!

From the outside looking in, who is Fly Wizzy?

I’m an artist from Pittsburgh, PA. I’m a straightforward guy, and I’m very passionate about music and just want people to hear what I have to say and relate to what I’m passionate about!

What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?

Well as a kid I always love singing and playing drums. What really got me into to music was my friend Christopher. He was a local DJ around Pittsburgh and he taught me how to spin records and I started playing out shows as DJ MYXIT. And just moving the crowd gave me a feeling I can’t explain. Making people dance and being on the stage, there isn’t no better feeling!

What do you get from your music? Tell us about your current project.

I’m working on a couple projects, but I have a new single “Not Today” coming out on 8/2 under Casanova Records. It will be released on all major platforms. Not Today is about not taking shit from anyone, never switching up, and staying true to yourself and if anyone is throwing negative vibes your way telling them haters “Not Today”.

For new listeners, what song of yours would you pick as an introduction to you as an artist?

I’d have to say my unreleased song called” Every Days a Struggle” it’s about my family, life, addiction and how I turned my life around an changed for the better.

Tell us a bit about your work and passions OUTSIDE of music…

Well outside of work, I take care of my 2-year-old son and I do everything I do for him. But I am also a professional landscaper! And work hard every day to provide for my family.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” aka WTF?! moment…

Hahahahah well honestly my craziest moment I’d have to say was sleeping with a my ex’s mom! And sent her the video.
