Releasing Her Inner Superhero, EMM Releases Mix-Tape, EMERALD, and Accompanying Music Video ‘Freedom’

Encouraging others to embrace their inner superhero and to defy all social norms, EMM has released her debut mix-tape, EMERALD, and accompanying music video “Freedom”. EMM is a self-made artist who inspires others in every sense of the word. Moving out of her small town in Michigan to NYC at the ripe age of 14, EMM has broken all standards and is showing us that absolutely anything is possible.

EMM’s new mix-tape, “EMERALD” is a piece of art that reflects lots of different emotions and sounds. It includes ten songs written by EMM herself about her trials and triumphs in real life with bold vocals, beautiful instrument sounds and even a live recorded bonus track.

EMM’s music video for her single “FREEDOM” shows the struggle of the child of an addict trying to understand their parent. It becomes personal when the ultimate, dangerous effects and emotional scars the disease can cause come into play towards the end of the video.

Every superhero needs an origin story, and this is exactly what EMM accomplishes in the music video for “Freedom”. The young girl seen throughout the music video is about to embark on the most difficult and rewarding journey of her life–discovering the strength inside herself. Hidden easter eggs throughout the video reflect back to the release of “EMERALD”, even including the gemstone in a necklace worn by our young hero.

EMM’s new mix-tape, EMERALD encompasses different sounds that will leave you feeling proud of who you are and wanting to stand up for what you believe in. With five new song releases and five previously released songs, the mix-tape starts with “Freedom”, a soulful bop with a personal message about addiction. EMM wrote every song on the EP herself, including “BITE”, “NOT SORRY’, and ”WICKED “. Ending the mix-tape, a gentle and emotional song titled “Pretty Face” is a bonus that is recorded live about how there is so much more to her than what is on the outside. All 10 songs have several blends of vocals and messages of empowerment that EMM wants her fans to hear while listening to them.
