The first recorded definition of a cocktail in history – “a stimulating liquor, sugar, water and bitters” – would later become “the Old Fashioned” in 1881 in Louisville, Kentucky in honor of a mixologist who then brought the recipe to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel bar in New York City. This particular set includes one 750mL bottle of Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège, one jigger, and features an Old Fashioned cocktail recipe on the back of the VAP.
