KAABOO Del Mar wrapped up its 3-day festival of music, comedy, art, and food. Completing its 5th year, KAABOO Del Mar delivers yet another rad festival – full of dance, laughter, comfort, and pure good times. Much like the diversity of the state of California, was the diversity of performers and headliners of KAABOO. From country to rap, to R&B to pop, from classic oldies to current chart-toppers, KAABOO consistently offers the best artists of their time.

Day 1:
Highlights of day #1 of the festival begin with the suave R&B group– Boyz II Men. Formed in the late 80’s, Boyz II Men made a sweet and sensual comeback to the California stage, performing hits ‘On Bended Knee,’ ‘It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye,’ ‘Water Runs Dry,’ ‘I’ll Make Love to You,’ and appropriately ended their set with “End of the Road.” Singers from the group serenaded concert-goers with their falsettos and smooth a capella’s.The Long Beach native, Snoop Dogg also performed on the first day – bringing up the energy by performing all his best California classics including ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot,” and “California Gurls.” Most notably from Snoop’s performance was a heartwarming tribute to his late friends, EZ E, Biggie Smalls, and Tupac Shakur.

Day 2:
Day #2 highlights include performances by Canadian native, Bryan Adams, California natives, Sublime, Colorado natives, One Republic, and International music group, the Black Eyed Peas. The local 90’s  band, Sublime rocked out with crowd-pleasing performances with songs including “Smoke Two Joints,’ ‘Date Rape,’ ‘Wrong Way,’ and  ‘Garden Grove.’ One Republic singer, Ryan Tedder spoke to his current TV show, ‘Songland’ focused on the art around song-writing. In addition to performing his own top-charting songs including ‘Stop and Stare’ and ‘Apologize,’ Ryan performed epic renditions of songs he wrote for other artists including ‘Halo’ (by Beyonce), and ‘Sucker’ (Jonas Brothers). The Black Eyed Peas ended the second day with a bang as party goers danced and jumped to the band’s best party hits, “Let’s Get it Started,’ ‘Boom Boom Pow,’ ‘Imma Be,’ ‘and ‘Pump It.”

Day 3:
Continuing the party on the last and final day was a DJ set by EDM artists CASH CASH followed by the alternative rock band, the Revitalists, then gorgeous country legend, Sheryl Crow, followed by the new-wave band, Duran Duran, and finally the folk-rock headliners, Mumford and Sons. Talk about musical bliss and diversity!
