Meyhem Lauren & DJ Muggs Drop New Harlem Heat “Aztec Snowflakes”
Hot off the release of their new EP “Members Only,” Meyhem Lauren and DJ Muggs just dropped another horsepower-amped video “Aztec Snowflakes.” Peep it here.
A collaboration with the Classic Car Club Manhattan, “Members Only” used binaural recordings of some of their seriously fast and fancy whips from Lambos to a drop-top Continental to a duo of stealth NSXs and a throaty GT3. Over which, the deck legend, the Black Goat, DJ Muggs laid his beat and Queen’s World Cup, Meyhem Lauren, applied his rhapsodic genius.
The third video release of four, following “Wavy” and “GT3,” the “Aztec Snowflakes” journey rolls with the Mey and Muggs crew through the streets of NYC – from downtown to Harlem – with Veuve (and tires) popping all along the way. While it’s tough to choose a favorite from the banger of a quick kill EP, Aztec is definitely the dark horse in the running with its raw, riotous flow reminiscent of Muggs’ early Cypress days.
Fun fact: DJ Muggs originally created the beat for “Aztec Snowflakes” for Cypress Hill, but they never recorded it. An archeological audio resurgence we’re stoked didn’t fossilize, lost for all time. It’s lightning. It’s heavy artillery from ear to eye.
And word on the street is this is but the first of many projects to come from the Classic Car Club and the Soul Assassins dyad, DJ Muggs and Meyhem Lauren.
