New Album Launches Onejiru ‘Higher Than High’

Songwriter Onejiru’s recent release sees her return after her debut album and continues her message through pop music – letting it take you ‘Higher Than High’. Born in Nairobi, the artist now resides in Hamburg when she isn’t touring around Europe, USA, Russia or East Africa.

Her album flaunts elite musicianship from the likes of legendary James Brown drummer Tony Cook, Nneka on the DJ console, Ngone Thiam on the keyboard, the guitar goddess Rhina Love and the dancing queen Connie Kau.

As an activist of women’s rights, as well as those of the under-privileged, she is involved in collectives such as: Viva con Agua Foundation, Afro-German artist collective ‘Sisters‘ and is spokesperson for Music Hamburg Women. Her work is both charitable and political, but her aim is always the same – to fight for causes she believes in.

Her new album’s sizzling tracks are armed and ready for radios, dance floors, and eager ears worldwide.
