Tech N9ne Delivers New Music Video: “Green Lit” feat. King ISO and MAEZ301

Today, Tech N9ne delivers a new visual for “Green Lit” feat. King ISOand MAEZ301. The video premiered on Wednesday via WorldStar. Originally released on Tech N9ne’s 2019 N9NA album, “Green Lit”  is one of the few songs from the album that includes features–Strange Music’s newest signees King ISO and MAEZ301 lend their voices to the track.

The “Green Lit” music video kicks off season 2 of Kathartic, a visual series written by Tech N9ne. The inspiration began with a verbal confrontation from years ago–from that one incident, Tech crafted a wild, fictional story about a retaliation spiraling out of control. Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, with Tech N9ne leading a squad of patients, played by Krizz Kaliko and King ISO, as they broke out of a mental ward. “Green Lit,” picks up where season 1 left off and follows the group, joined by MAEZ301, as they devise a plan to fight back against the system.

Tech N9ne describes the roots of the project, saying “Someone said some shit, years back and it kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Years later I wrote a song about it so I guess it bothered me that much! Off of that one incident came the rest of Kathartic. I was never in a detention center and of course, I didn’t break out. I can’t tell you anymore because I don’t want to spoil it for everybody, but [the “Chuki Fever” music video] was inspired by something that really happened.”
