You Can Celebrate Labor Day With Casamigos Via These 3 Fun Tequila-Based Cocktail Recipes
Today, hundreds of millions of Americans are celebrating Labor Day. While part of an extended weekend, the national holiday also signifies that the summer season is almost at its end.
The ultra-premium tequila known as Casamigos — a name you likely recognize thanks to founders George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman — is regularly part of joyful celebrations. So for those of us still celebrating the summer of 2019, below are 3 fun and easy-to-make cocktail recipes courtesy of Casamigos, which can be visited online at www.casamigos.com.
Lavender Spritzer
Ingredients:
– 2 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila
– 1.5 oz. Lavender syrup
– 0.5 oz. Fresh lemon juice
– 0.5 oz. Grapefruit juice
– 2 Dashes lavender bitters
– Top off with grapefruit soda water
Method:
– Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds.
– Strain into a Collins glass and add fresh ice.
– Garnish with a lavender sprig and lemon peel.
Pineapple Cilantro Margarita
Ingredients:
– 2 oz. Casamigos Reposado
– 1 oz. Pineapple Juice
– 0.5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
– 0.5 oz. Simple Syrup
– 8–10 Cilantro Leaves
– Optional: ½ Thick Rim of Sugar, Cilantro Salt (Equal Parts)
Method:
– Combine all ingredients into tin shaker.
– Add ice.
– Shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds.
– Strain into rocks glass.
– Add ice.
– Garnish with 2 pineapple leaves.
El Diablo
Ingredients:
– 2 oz. Casamigos Blanco
– 1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
– 0.5 oz. Agave Nectar
– 4 Blackberries
– 4 Basil Leaves
– 2 Serrano Slices
Method:
– Combine all ingredients into tin shaker.
– Muddle fruit/herbs.
– Add ice.
– Shake vigorously.
– Fine strain into rocks glass.
– Add ice.
– Garnish with a large basil leaf and 2 blackberries though skewer.
