Cosmonauts – Hip Hop Space Travel with Souls Rest

Souls Rest draws upon their love of classic hip hop and soul, in their mission to create a new Urban RnB soundscape. Their latest release; “COSMONAUTS” is the first single released from their upcoming 10-song album project.

The record is a playful upbeat Hip Hop/RnB track that is inspired around the metaphor of galactic space travel, and a planetary search for perfect love. The storyful lyrics describe the mission preparations and far-reaching interstellar journey that Souls Rest embarks upon. In august 2019, the official music video for “COSMONAUTS” was released, and since then has seen a growing audience of their unique visuals.

Evolving from their previous 2019 release “from_the vault” EP, The Cosmonauts album project will have a more Pop-sound woven in. The music will continue to be a mix of live musicianship, classic and contemporary hip hop production, but will target a growing mainstream global market for pop/urban music uniqueness.

With the support of Mercury Artists and Element-80 Records Inc, the band will be looking ahead to grow their fanbase online and on radio; as well as, touring and performing at festivals and venues across Canada and the US.

Souls Rest’s latest music video release from their “from_the vault” EP. The project was released earlier in 2019, and features 6-songs that fuse live musicianship with electronic production. The songs are intertwined with uplifting stories of love and hope, and remind us of what we like most about classic and contemporary hip hop & rap music.
