Houston Artist De’Wayne Releases ‘Top Gun’ Ahead of LA Event with Dr. Marten’s

Genre defying artist De’Wayne is looking to shatter barriers.  Blending elements of Alternative Rock with Hip-Hop and R&B, “Top Gun” is the latest release from the Los Angeles, by way of Houston, artist.  With this release De’Wayne wants listeners to not feel boxed in, he shares, “The mission is to show people we shouldn’t live in boxes and neither should the music we’re consuming.”

“Top Gun” sheds light on the oppression faced in the current climate, and the rage faced by a lot of individuals.  The most powerful viewpoints to take away from this single is that there can be multiple interpretations for De’Wayne’s lyrics.

Right now, De’Wayne is busy in the studio finishing up his forthcoming project which will be due out in 2020.  And this Wednesday (October 23), De’Wayne will be partnering up for an exclusive event in Los Angeles at Superchief Gallery with Dr. Marten’s.
