Rosalía and J. Balvin make history as their collaboration “Con Altura” reaches 1 billion views on YouTube

Rosalía, the surprising global emerging music star of 2019 has achieved an impressive feat: her “Con Altura” music video with J.Balvin ft. El Guincho has surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube. Released in late March, 2019, the video has remained 28 weeks on the Global YouTube Top Music Videos chart and it stands strong at #3 on the latest chart dated October 10, 2019; making it the most successful female fronted video thus far this year.

“With her ambitious fusion of flamenco tradition and urban swagger, the Spanish star is proving that a singular vision can have universal appeal,” said Billboard Magazine on a recent article featuring Rosalia on the cover. “Con Altura” is the second most viewed release of 2019 behind only Daddy Yankee & Snow – Con Calma.

Colombian reggaeton singer J. Balvin surpassed Justin Bieber and now tied global music icon Ozuna atop the YouTube Billion Views Club with 7 videos as a lead, featured artist or collaborator. In the midst of his sold-out Arcoiris tour across the US, Balvin has landed #1 on the YouTube Global Artist chart multiple weeks this year. J. Balvin’s YouTube Channel has 22.5M subscribers.
