Slaine Announces “One Day” Art Gallery Event & Listening Party In Boston On November 4th

Boston’s veteran wordsmith Slaine has announced The One Day Art Gallery and listening party in Boston, MA on Monday, November 4th. The event will showcase a collection of art from a group of artists. The platform will include fine art, photography, graffiti art and music. The event will also be a listening party for Slaine’s upcoming new studio album “One Day”, which is Slaine’s magnum opus as an artist after a career spanning close to two decades. The party will serve as a charity event for a cause close to Slaine’s heart.

“I wanted to use the listening party for my new album as a platform to help others instead of just making it about me,” commented Slaine. “I’m one of many artists in this community and I’m grateful for all the support the city of Boston has given me over the years. It’s pretty cool to find a group of artists to rally around the cause and be a part of this event. Hopefully, we can sell some art and raise money for DMMF and the children left behind by addicted parents.”

Slaine’s new album “One Day” is scheduled for November 22nd release date via AR Classic Records and will feature guest appearances by Vinnie Paz, ILL BILL, Apathy, Locksmith, Rite Hook, Statik Selektah, and more. “One Day” is a complex tapestry that navigates listeners through a journey of pain, loss, reflection, and redemption. Throughout the album, Slaine finds strength and hope in his darkest moments. He rattles the cage of the past to find truth in the present with his trademark sharp delivery, masterful use of language and aggressive cadence.

Throughout his career, Slaine has released a collection of work, both as a solo artist and with La Coka Nostra, that are widely regarded as indie hip hop staples. He has worked with icons such as B Real, Everlast, ILL BILL, DJ Premier, Sean Price, Bun B, Sick Jacken, Raekwon, U God, DJ Muggs, Tech N9ne, Swollen Members, Action Bronson, and Statik Selektah among others.

He has appeared in over a dozen feature films including The Town, Gone Baby Gone and Killing Them Softly and acted alongside the likes of Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Renner and Harvey Keitel.

The Dennis Messing Memorial Foundation was founded in 2015 and officially became a public charity (501c3) in 2016.  A 100% volunteer and a grassroots organization with a mission dedicated to providing families and individuals struggling with alcohol and substance abuse disorders with support, resources for treatment and financial aid. Heroin abuse in the U.S. has catapulted into an epidemic and Boston has not come out unscathed. After losing a family member and a close friend from overdose and addiction, The Dennis Messing Memorial Foundation was founded in an effort to take action.
