Who Is Fendi Cruz?
Rising Hip-Hop star Fendi Cruz, she is an NYC-native, LA-based female rapper who gets a lot of praise for her recently released single “BAGZ”. She is a skilled songwriter and talented performer. Highly touted for her Cardi B like fire and her Nicki Minajesque peformance presence, this young lioness is one to be on the lookout for.
The Hype Magazine got Fendi to weigh in on a few things:
From the outside looking in, who is the artist Fendi Cruz?
Fendi is an independent boss lady that never had a father to be there for her, was raised by a single mother and had to support herself and her family from a very young age. That made her who she is today.
What brought you to the entertainment industry, music specifically?
Since I was a child I always had a passion for music. My mother was an inspired singer but for personal reasons, she couldn’t pursue music. So it is in my blood.
How does the culture mix of being an NYC native and living in LA influence your music?
In an amazing way! But actually, I’m from the Dominican Republic before I got to NYC, so I got a double dose of reality. I’m having the street mind and wisdom from living in NYC to expressing my emotions creating music with my team in Los Angeles.
Tell us about your current project.
My debut single BAGZ was the first song I wrote and recorded, it talks about my life experience and the expectations real boss ladies have towards man 🙂
Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” aka WTF?! moment…
I feel the WTF moment every time when people that smile in my face and promise a bunch of things knowing they can’t deliver.. Where I’m from, you do what you say you are gonna do. True to your word. It’s crazy to me that people are like that.
