The Pains of Growing in Dallas. That’s right, Canadian Grammy award-winning singer Alessia Cara brought her Pains of Growing Tour to Dallas on Monday night to bring a room full of fans together for an unforgettable performance. She kicked the show off by sitting on a couch on the stage-set to sing “Growing Pains” just before going into fan-favorite and first hit “Here” as the crowd chanted loudly along with her.
Cara is also known for her Disney hit “How Far I’ll Go,” which she didn’t disappoint to perform and asked the South Side Ballroom crowd to sing loudly, telling Dallas to be the “loudest city on tour.”
Before certain songs, Alessia would give speeches to hint toward which hit she was going to perform next, such as before she sang “Scars to Your Beautiful.” Cara encourages the fans to don’t listen to haters, and not to be hard on themselves because everyone is beautiful in their own way, and that no matter what’s going on, everything will be okay — even going as to asking fans not to be afraid to cry it out during the show if they need to. The beautiful soul said that the Dallas show was the second the last of hers for the remainder of the year as she finishes off in Houston on Wednesday, November 20th.
