Going from grinding on the streets to living in luxury traveling the globe, this track takes you through the journey of the duo and how they Parlayed their way to the top. Watch as the two go from the PJ to the streets as they give a lesson on how to come up big and enjoy life to its fullest in the new official music video for “Parlay”.

Bad Abstrakt

Physic was born in Jamaica Queens, early on moved and was raised in South Orlando, Florida at the age of 7. He grew up in a time where the south was really starting to take over and flourish in the music scene. Since relocating to the South, Physic was inspired at a young age by artists such as, The Diplomats, Common, Nas, and a NC Hip Hop trio named Little Brother. Even though those were his major influences Physic still listened to and loved artists like Gucci Mane,  Young Jeezy , Outkast, and TI. At just the age of 11, Physic picked up the pen and pad after being told by his English teacher to do so, who was intrigued by his unique poems and ways of storytelling. With a unique style that channels an early 90s sound with a modern southern style Physic has impressed .

The other half of Bad Abstrakt, José Nova was born and raised in Jamaica queens. He began expressing himself through poems and stories as well, only to fall in love with hip hop building a burning desire to be mentioned amongst the greats. Growing up in a time where the golden age of hip hop was regressing, Jose found his influence “digging through the crates” where he harnessed his craft and premature rhyme styles. Listening and moved by the blends of A Tribe called Quest, Nas, and Big Pun, Jose’s journey in hip hop has made him critically acclaimed for his latin influence. While taking a hiatus from releasing music independently and the global spotlight, Jose took a break wanting to retrace his steps and get the attention his skills deserved.

While on separate but similar journeys, Physic and Jose Nova crossed paths through a mutual producer and started out as rivals. Always trying to out rhyme and rap each other during their rivalry, eventually building a strong mutual respect for each other’s work and bonded through music. Though Physic had his endeavors with multiple different groups, the music that he made with Jose Nova always resonated differently and was special. Remaining friends throughout the years and always keeping their deep love for music the two assembled together creating the forceful tandem we know today as Bad Abstrakt.
