Miguel Returns With New Music From EP ‘Funeral’

Describing the direction of the upcoming EP, Miguel states: “I’m releasing more music all the way into the new year but “Funeral” is the perfect song to get it started. I’ve been exploring darker tones and themes for some time, this song whets the imagination for what’s to come.” The Funeral EP will continue to build with each new song until it’s fully released this winter.

Written and produced by Miguel, Deion Gill, Alekaei Savchenko and Arutiun Tamamian, “Funeral” marks the first official release from Miguel since his 2017 critically acclaimed album War & Leisure, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart and #9 on the Billboard 200 chart. War & Leisure became Miguel’s third #1 debut on the Billboard R&B Albums chart and garnered RIAA double Platinum certification for the hit single “Sky Walker,” and Gold for the album.
