Sevyn Streeter Drops Visuals for ‘Whatchusay’

Certified-Platinum recording artist, Sevyn Streeter, is best known for her debut album Girl Disrupted, which charted number 1 on I-Tunes and yielded a Billboard top 10 single, “Before I Do”. With the success of her album, the songstress marked her permanence in the industry and has gone on to work with some of music’s biggest names such as Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla$, Jeremih, August Alsina, Dave East and Dej Loaf… and that was just the beginning.

Now, Sevyn has decided to take full creative control of her craft, working tirelessly on her upcoming projects that she will be releasing independently. Re-inspired and recharged, Sevyn will round out 2019 with new music, namely a track and video component titled “Whatchusay”, dropping November 8, and will prepare for the new year that she will make her own. Starting 2020 off with the release of album Drunken Wordz, Sober Thoughtz, Sevyn will debut a side of herself that fans have never seen before – an unapologetic, uninhibited badass who is taking matters into her own hands.

Sevyn began gaining traction in 2013, with the success of her solo EP Call Me Crazy, But… which debuted at number 5 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The Certified Platinum Record, “It Won’t Stop,” was the lead single from the EP and topped Billboard’s “Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay” chart for 9 consecutive weeks, while climbing both Billboard’s “Hot 100” and “R&B/Hip Hop Songs” chart. In addition, the companion video – directed by and costarring GRAMMY® Award-winner Chris Brown, has earned more than 150 million views to date.

Along with her solo career, Sevyn is a writer of some of the music industry’s most recognizable songs – including 7 songs on Chris Brown’s GRAMMY winning album, Fame, and 7 songs on the follow-up Album, Fortune. More song writing credits include two songs from Alicia Keys’ GRAMMY winning album, Girl on Fire, and singles such as Chris Brown’s “Fine China,” Tamar Braxton’s “All The Way Home,” Alicia Keys’ “New Day,” and Ariana Grande’s chart-topping hit, “The Way.”

Sevyn is a four-time ASCAP Award-winning songwriter who has worked with a remarkable roster of top studio superstars, including Diplo, Polow Da Don, Jessie J., Fantasia, Estelle and many others. Without any doubt, Sevyn Streeter will be in the music industry for years to come!
