XLARGE and D*FACE Collab for DesignerCon Capsule To Be Revealed At This Weekend’s Expo

Since founding the brand in 1991, XLARGE has always been at the forefront of brand collaborations. These include capsules with Columbia, Dragonball Z, Yayoi Kusama, Sprite, Puma, and more which has helped the brand mold out a cult fanbase over the last 28 years. The brand launched in a pivotal era for the fashion scene in LA, when skateboard and music culture started to go hand in hand, as opposed to NY where hip hop and graffiti culture were born. Because of this Eli Bonerz, Adam Silverman, and Mike D of the Beastie Boys helped give the brand a strong cultural identity.

Almost 30 years later, XLARGE continues to be the innovator and pioneer of the streetwear world. XLARGE decided to collaborate with London based artist D*FACE because of the London-based artist commitment to authenticity within the British art scene for over 15 years. For this collaboration, D*FACE created a new character which combines his signature D*Dog with XLARGE’s OG Gorilla. XLARGE creative director Josh Madden says, “We are excited to have D*FACE with us at Designer- Con. Collectively, us at XLARGE, we are all avid fans of his art. The capsule and collectibles have drawn attention globally, we’re honored to partner with him.”

Apparel items will include a variety of graphics that span the artists’ career, and all will be embellished with D*FACE’s signature hand style, which has become an iconic font. Other items available for fans to purchase at their DesignerCon booth will include a skate deck, a large and small BE@RBRICK, and four OG figure colorways. Make sure to stop by their booth at DesignerCon from November 22nd-24th at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. There will be a VIP only admittance on the 22nd from 5pm-9pm, and general admission will be from10am-7pm on Saturday and 10am-6pm on Sunday.
