Chris Brown, Ty Dolls Sign, Tory Lanez, & Joyner Lucas Concert Review
Dallas, Texas has become a hot spot for major music artists to perform as the city continues to grow, and a lineup full of stars like this sure made this concert a memorable one.
The show opened with a performance from Joyner Lucas who was an absolute powerhouse on the stage. The energy he brought with him was uplifting and exciting, immediately grabbing the attention of the entire audience. As he stormed the crowd to join his fans offstage, he was surrounded by beaming smiles and cell phones eager to record such an intimate moment. An artist who isn’t afraid to break the barrier between him and his listeners is always one that makes an impact. It’s safe to say Joyner was my favorite performance of the night!
He was followed by a performance from Dallas native Yella Beezy, who created quite the commotion by bringing his toddler son on stage. Audience members squealed with delight at the sight of the adorable little tyke running around with headphones and a mic, following in his dad’s footsteps. Like father, like son. Who knows, Dallas may produce yet another future great rapper in Yella Beezy Jr.!
Next up was the exuberant Ty Dolla Sign, who had the house bumping with beats that kept the kids dancing. The smile on his face as he sings brings a positive feeling to the place; it’s like you can feel his joy as he makes the music, and it’s infectious. I can’t describe how refreshing it is to see a rapper smile and look like he’s having fun on stage!
Before bringing in the headliner, we’re blessed by the voice of Tory Lanez. His intensity draws the eye and keeps the attention of the audience as he belts out song after song and continues to turn up the heat; the excitement and anticipation ever-building. At this point, the stadium is packed with hype jams and electric vibes.
Lastly, we arrived to the final performance of the night.
To say that Chris Brown has made a huge impact on hip-hip culture is an understatement. A name that will never be forgotten, Chris Brown has had the career of a lifetime, and experiencing his talent in person has made it very clear why. From his silky-smooth voice to his powerful choreography, he moves with finesse and an exhilerating energy that captures the roaring crowd. Familiar music pours across the arena as hit after hit brings long-time listeners to their feet to dance in unison and sing the songs that crafted their teenage years. If there’s one thing I can say about Chris Brown, it’s that he lives up to his name. He is one of the most talented artists of our generation.
