Legendary Hip Hop Artist Redman Exclusively Chats With RIV For First Episode Of “The Real Ones”
One of the most sought-after companies in the music industry, Riveting Entertainment is ending 2019 by introducing a new interview-style series of one-on-one discussions with iconic artists that have influenced music and culture, premiering exclusively on www.RIVnow.com. For the first episode of RIV’s “The Real Ones”, host Datwon Thomas sits down with rap legend Redman.
Redman is a regular with the RIV team, having collaborated on a slate of content in recent years from “YA!”, “Black Man In America”, “I Love Hip Hop”, and more. In the 90’s, Redman rose to fame alongside Wu-Tang alum Method Man, finding massive success with projects like Muddy Waters in 1996. Redman has since announced a follow-up with Muddy Waters Too, releasing in 2020. Today, December 10, 2019 marks the 23rd anniversary of the release of Redman’s Muddy Waters Album; therefore he and RIVNow.com wanted to gift his fans with this exclusive 1-hour interview for the culture. There is no fee to watch, no paid subscription necessary, and free candid conversation.
Datwon Thomas is a New York native and is currently the Editor-In-Chief at VIBE Magazine where he began his career in hip hop publication years ago. Before assuming his current position, Thomas was a major part of XXL, RIDES, and KING Magazine. In the kickoff episode, Datwon dives in deep with Redman about life, the music industry, leaving a legacy, and future projects. The creative dialogue is one of many that viewers can expect in 2020 from RIV.
