Soul Songstress J.A.E Releases Her Debut EP ‘With Or Without’

Burgeoning London based soul singer and songwriter J.A.E (pronouncing each individual letter) has officially unveiled her debut EP ‘With or Without’ this December 2^nd.

Spearheaded by lead single ‘Take Me To’, the release follows in the footsteps of her 2018 single “Love Me Right”, the subsequent remixes which hit top 10 on Traxsource Soulful House chart and her 2019 single “Poison” inviting acclaim from tastemaker sites Complex and Clash Magazine.

The debut EP project ‘With Or Without’ is the love child of music that inspired and influenced J.A.E from a very young age and music that shaped her sound from today. Being a nineties baby and 21st century millennial in some ways, this EP is specifically depicting the real-life situations and hypothetical, of a woman and what she can go through on both sides of love. One side being that honeymoon phase, that butterfly feeling phase and that reckoning path of love and the other being that heart-breaking, uncertain yet empowering stage of love.

An A-side, B-side project particularly influenced by the likes of Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner and some more legends, who so greatly provided us with albums back in the day that presented a calm and collected side and then a more up tempo, disco side. This strong body of work echoes the essence of having two different moods of music coming together beautifully into one smooth record. Something in there for every music lover, there is that element of calm that transcends through the whole project but really sets the tone for J.A.E as a hot new artist and what amazing things are on the way for her.

Starting her musical journey as a poet under the alias of Jae Poet, J.A.E perpetuated her self-named concept whilst completing her degree in 2013 – merging music with poetry to create ‘Moetry’. Her love of sound and performing developed early, growing rapidly throughout her youth when she attended the prestigious performing art schools Italia Conti and the Blackheath Conservatoire.

Though still in her infancy as an artist, J.A.E has already worked with top notch talent, the likes of west London artist, producer and DJ, p-rallel and go-to production maestro ATG. With over 54,000 plays on Soundcloud collectively, regular spins on Pulse88 FM and Reprezent Radio and gracing stages at House of Vans and Acoustic Live UK, she is propped to be another hot prospect in a very strong UK R&B scene.
