After six years of waiting since “Tajo Abierto” (2014), Francisca Valenzuela returns with “LA FORTALEZA”, the fourth studio album by one of the most renowned Chilean artists of the last decade, where she explores new soundscapes – which They range from pop to urban – becoming a dazzling warrior who defends femininity and feminism through an alliance with other heroines.

La Fortaleza has 14 unpublished songs, from which the hits “Tómame”, “Ya No Se Trata De Ti”, “Héroe” and “Flotando”, gather more than 14 million streams and more than 10 million of views on her YouTube channel.

La Fortaleza is about finding the strength within you to finally wake up, connect and embark on your journey from darkness to light. From that moment that we are at the bottom of the hole, disastrous, exhausted, unable to unravel, we find that in the end within us, in our heart, body and mind, lies the strength to get up, move forward, be free and live joy and life. And, with that, feel the possibility of showing yourself, being seen, connecting, love and be loved. The strength to transform, to overcome pain, darkness and confusion,” said the Chilean artist.

This release comes after recent tours and shows (national and international) that marked a before and after min the career of the voice behind “Héroe”, highlighting an intense and remarkable concert in Lollapalooza Chile 2019, aside form her successful presentation at the closure of the Pan American Games 2019.

Within a month, she will return to the most important stage in Latin America, the Viña del Mar Festival, where she will present her new production and all the hits that have accompanied her in these almost 13 years of artistic career.

Her constant search and her longing to grow as an artist has managed to extend beyond poetry and music. Valenzuela is the founder and director of Ruidosa, the first Latinx interdisciplinary feminist festival, which was founded in 2016 and also serves as a digital platform that celebrates outstanding women in the arts scene.

To date, Valenzuela has performed worldwide with some of today’s most influential and iconic musicians such as Miguel Bosé, Pablo Alborán, Natalia Lafourcade and the legendary rock group, U2.
