Introducing East Virginia Rapper Stu Money

With the New Year rapidly moving forward East Virginia rapper Stu Money keeps applying the pressure with the new project making sure the world knows about Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA aka Shark City.  Home to greats like Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Missy Elliott, the Clipse and more, Virginia has always given Hip-Hop something special.

Enter rapper Stu Money and his new project East Virginia, the culmination of Stu Money’s career as a rapper thus far as he’s scrapped his way through the Eastern Virginia streets.

“I was born into music. It’s in my veins. I bleed this music sh*t ya dig! It’s really flourishing and I’m on of the up and coming leaders of the movement. Right now it’s Something In the Water like the Pharrell festival. For this project I got the best of Norfolk and East Virginia. My production is by Zeekovips and The Beachboyy.”

The Hype Magazine got Stu Money to weigh in on a few things:

From the outside looking in, who is the artist Stu Money?

A young an upcoming artist from East Virginia aka Norfolk with a sound created by the VIP’s VA’s next super producers.

What is it about music that brought you into its fold?

I just love the way it lets your voice be heard and gives you an opportunity to tell your own unique story.

What do you want people to get from your music?

That Stu is a real live cat and that I take my craft serious and want to be one of the greats.

Tell us about your current project and where it stands for you personally!

Right now East Virginia is my most recent project and my most successful so far.

For new listeners, what song of yours would you pick as an introduction to you as an artist?

I need them to stream the entire East Virginia Project and def take a listen to “Ceiling Fan and Old School”

Tell us a bit about your work and passions OUTSIDE of music…

Just an all-around hustler working with my family and taking care of my kids.

Last but not least, HYPE wants to know…What’s your CRAZIEST “Where they do that at?!” aka WTF?! moment…

We were in Miami at the last Art Basel shooting my “Old School” video and some guy walks up with his naked crackhead girlfriend and says she wants to be in my video?? We all looked like WTF Where they do that at?
