Jadakiss Announces New Album, Ignatius, Arriving February 28th Via Def Jam Recordings

Jadakiss – the New York hip-hop icon whose career spans two decades and millions of albums sold – announces today his fifth solo album, IGNATIUS will arrive on February 28th via Def Jam Recordings. IGNATIUS is titled in loving memory of Jadakiss’ manager and longtime friend Ignatius “Icepick Jay” Jackson, who tragically passed away in 2017. The new single and video from IGNATIUS – “Kisses To the Sky,” featuring Rick Ross and Emanny – is available on DSPs now, as well as exclusive merch and album pre-orders at Jadakiss’ online store https://shop.jadakiss.com/.

The title “Kisses To The Sky” is a nod to the first three breakthrough LPs of Jada’s career, Kiss the Game Goodbye (2001), Kiss Of Death (2004), and The Last Kiss (2009). “Kisses To the Sky” follows-up Jadakiss’ recent single and video, “ME,” released in October.

IGNATIUS is the long-awaited follow-up to Top 5 Dead Or Alive (November 2015), which entered the R&B & hip-hop album charts at #1. The record boasted features from rap’s top players: Akon, Future, Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo, Nas, Nipsey Hussle, Styles P, Puff Daddy, Sheek Louch, Swizz Beatz, Young Adz, Young Buck, and more.

In between Top 5 Dead Or Alive and IGNATIUS came Friday On Elm Street (2017), a collaborative album with fellow Def Jam star Fabolous. Loso and Jada attracted some of hip-hop’s biggest names for their project – including Jeezy, Teyana Taylor, Future, Swizz Beatz, French Montana, Yo Gotti, and Styles P.
