Jason Lee Releases New Memoir: “God Must Have Forgotten About Me”

Media mogul Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked has just released an all-new memoir titled “God Must Have Forgotten About Me.” He returned to his hometown of Stockton, California to discuss what the book means to him to Delta College Students. His celebrity friends Cardi B & Tiffany Haddish supported him by FaceTiming into the event and pledging to purchase 400 copies of the books for the students. “God Must Have Forgotten About Me” is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and all other major book stores now!

Unapologetic journalist, reality TV star, iHeart Radio personality, and the CEO of Hollywood Unlocked, Jason has always been in the business of telling everyone else’s story, but, now he’s unlocking a door into his life. “God Must Have Forgotten About Me.” He details a story of survival, loss, and perseverance despite all the tragedy in his life.

In “God Must Have Forgotten About Me” Jason Lee details how he built the foundation of his entertainment career and established his relationship with some of the biggest names in the industry. He often breaks some of the biggest and most controversial stories, but, nothing can compare to his own story and the journey he went through to become who he is today. In the book, he discusses growing up in the streets of Stockton with a drug-addicted mother and no true father figure. After entering the foster system, Lee said he experienced molestation, abuse, and trauma including his brother’s murder.

Lee told his story to Delta College students about surviving the streets of Stockton and turning struggle into success.

“I wrote this book to tell my story but with the hopes that it would inspire other people to find a way to create their own path to healing,” said Lee. “I found myself in so many rough situations throughout my life. That the question I used to always say was ‘alright God…where you at?” Critics describe the memoir as “emotion-provoking and very raw, but simultaneously motivational and inspirational.”

Lee’s message that hard work pays off was reinforced by actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish and rapper Cardi B. Both entertainers made a surprise appearance to Lee’s visit at Delta College via FaceTime, offering to pay for copies of the books for all students in attendance. Haddish treated students at the event to a showing of her new movie.
As Lee looked out in the crowd, he said he sees himself in the students and sees the power of potential.
