Jutes Releases “Everyone Knows” Single

Combining filtered guitar lines and Jutes’ raspy, emotive vocals, ‘Everyone Knows’ is a rowdy break up anthem that is equal parts ‘00s alternative and 2020 pop punk. Jutes’ straightforward, yet poetic, lyricism paints an angsty story of coming to terms with a tainted relationship. Complete with a knocking bass line and catchy melodies, ‘Everyone Knows’ is the perfect blend of alternative nostalgia with a modern vision.

Speaking to AltPress on ‘Everyone Knows’, Jutes said, “I was hanging out with my homie Andrew Luce listening to music and we decided to make a messy, shitty garage rock song. We had also been listening to a bunch of Gorillaz, so naturally we blended the two vibes.”

A rock kid at heart, Jutes’ connection to music began as a way to dream beyond the small farm he grew up on in Kars, Ontario – a rural town just outside of Ottawa, Canada. His early influences included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Third Eye Blind, and Outkast and he was quick to discover a hybrid style of alternative, pop punk and hip hop when he began creating music. Focusing on storytelling, Jutes delivers honest lyrics about imperfect relationships and finding positivity and acceptance within himself – a common theme throughout his music.

The Canadian songwriter eventually made the jump to Los Angeles and has since signed a deal with the legendary Capitol Records. Jutes is gearing up to release an EP in the coming months and is continuously working on new music. Keep a lookout for more news from Jutes this Spring!
