Lush Art Agency Partners With New Sanctuary Coalition

For her first fundraising event of the year, Soli Corbelle of LUSH Art Agency, recently opened her newest pop-up space in Soho, New York in support of the New Sanctuary Coalition. This non-profit organization services families who have been separated due to deportation.

The New Sanctuary Coalition is an inclusive network of organizations and individuals standing publicly in solidarity with families and comunities resisting detention and deportation in order to stay together.

The charity auction began on the night of the opening at the gallery space on 414 West Broadway. Attendees had the chance to bid on artworks by artists such as Simon Cruz, Flore, and Mr. Brainwash. Funds will continue to be raised throughout the duration of the exhibition to activate the spirit of giving back through art.

Influencers, musicians, fashion designers, and brands came out to support the cause. As this partnership continues to grow, sponsorship opportunities will be available and tailored to fit a variety of different networks to ensure everybody can contribute. Information can be requested by contacting Lush Art Agency founder Soli Corbelle.

Corbelle candidly exclaimed “the reason that we decided to donate to The New Sanctuary Coalition is because I was watching the news one day and they were doing a story about a group of men that were being deported to Guatemala who were ex MS-13 members here on asylum.”

She then went on to say “it was heartbreaking to watch one of them giving his last words because the moment that he lands on Guatemalan soil, he will be executed by the gang. My parents are also immigrants, alongside most of my family. If i was a child during this time, I could very much be affected similar to those who are being taken away from their families unjustly under today’s administration.”

Soli Corbelle’s love for art and giving back have reached new heights in 2020. The Lush Art Agency is something you will want to look into the next time you visit NYC. For full details about The New Sanctuary Coalition visit https://www.newsanctuarynyc.org/.
