Migs718: Rising Above the Sharks
Hype Magazine recently received the chance to converse with Migs718 to become more familiar with the young artist that is continuously making a name for himself along with label MLM Entertainment.
Riding the wave off his new hit single Sharks, Migs718 has secured several successful performances, awards and interviews to promote his versatile talents as a writer, rapper and overall artist in the entertainment industry.
“Sharks” dropped February 6th 2020 on all streaming platforms, including Itunes, Soundcloud and Spotify. Migs718 newest release is dedicated to those who are on the rise of success; constantly fighting to survive and maneuver around the doubters and non-believers. The track offers an anthem-style structure mixed with smack-talking dialogue. Migs718 explains that although we are all surrounded by sharks throughout our lifetime; it is up to us to change our pathways and live amongst them while still working towards our aspirations.
“Right now I am working on my singles. Single after single. Every single song is going to sound like me but they are going to be completely different types of energy,” explains Migs718 in an interview with Bay Area’s Innovator510’s Dash Radio Show. Migs718 also explains that the music business is not based on how many followers you have,but off of actual fans who pay attention to the music, which is attainable by releasing consistent hits, promotional tours and integrated digital marking strategies.
Along with numerous accolades, Migs718 has had the chance to be interviewed by Los Angeles’ 
The Kickback Show with Faahz,Tiana and DJ Swivl and is currently one of two Hip-Hop artists to be featured in FORBES Magazine to date. This rising hip-hop star already has a few awards under his belt, including the 2018 LTC Hip Hop Artist of the Year ,which helped Migs718 to land his dream performance in Times Square, NYC in front of more than 5000 fans. Other accolades include but are not limited to the 2019 Artist to Watch by The Fresh Finds; collecting over 500,000 Streams on Spotify.
As Migs718 gets ready for the 2020 festival season, the artist is reminded of his previous accomplishments with over 60 nationwide and international performances that he accomplished in 2019. The following accomplishments include headlining the Pepsi Stage at LexiFest in Lexington, KY and a SXSW performance for HOT97 Hip-Hop Stage. Migs718 also became an official artist for SXSW 2020. The ongoing progress and diligence in his music career has caused his music to be in rotation in over 10 states.
