0New Music: Jay & Tay Release “No More”
Jay Lyriq and Tay Dizm, former recording artists for T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Entertainment, just released their new single “No More.” The song also makes its debut on Valdosta, GA’s Star 105.3 FM and 96.7 FM. It’s the second track from their forthcoming “Jay & Tay” EP.
Produced by GRAMMY Award winning and multi platinum songwriter Jimi Kendrix (Jay Z, 50 Cent, Patti LaBelle), “No More” perfectly mixes Jay’s Hard-N-B vocals, Tay’s engaging, raspy flow and Kendrix’s soothing, knocking production. “No More” is about exes who claim they are over but continue to hook-up when they’ve been drinking.
“No More” follows Jay & Tay’s summertime jam “Work N Play” released last June. The artists who became friends and began working together while signed to T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Entertainment are finishing their self-titled EP due this Spring. Tay describes the music as “Real rap, real R&B, real situations. Definitely feel good music. It’s just us being ourselves.”
While Jay Lyriq and Tay Dizm continue to work as solo artists as well, Jay says their “Jay & Tay” project will fill a void in the R&B and hip hop space. “There’s no one doing anything like this,” he says. “The rap songs now are more melody driven, not like the rap from back in the day. Tay’s coming. He’s rapping and I’m singing. As long as we come with the right material, everybody will enjoy it.”

About Tay Dizm
Tay Dizm, born Artavious Smith, spent most of his youth growing up in foster homes. When he was 18, he located his biological father and moved to Gainesville, FL to live with his family. His two brothers taught him how to rap and the three recorded mixtapes, fueling Tay’s interest in a music career. In pursuit of more opportunities, he moved to the larger city of Tallahassee and eventually met native T-Pain. He became T-Pain’s onstage hypeman and was featured on the song “Dance Floor” from T-Pain’s debut album “Rappa Ternt Sanga” and later appeared on “Yo Stomach” from T-Pain’s sophomore album “Epiphany.” In 2008, Dizm was among the first artists signed to T-Pain’s Nappy Boy Entertainment. He released his solo debut “Beam Me Up” that summer.
